trust

by Shannondoah

i trust

in my

faith

to

follow

the

compass

of

our

divinity

the stars

pause

and silence

speaks

nothing

all that

is

left

is the sound

of our

heartsong

goodness

by Mary Oliver

'Of Goodness'

How good

that the clouds travel, as they do,

like the long dresses of the angels

of our imagination,

or gather in storm masses, then break,

with their gifts of replenishment,

and how good

that the trees shelter the patient birds

in their thick leaves,

and how good that in the field

the next morning

red bird frolics again, his throat full of song,

and how good

that the dark ponds, refreshed,

are holding the white cups of the lilies

so that each is an eye that can look upward,

and how good that the little blue-winged teal

comes paddling among them, as cheerful as ever,

and so on, and so on.

love is the way

by Shannondoah

rolling clouds
speak
to
me
of a time of
transformation
of and for
Love

Love is the Way

the winds
speak
to
me
singing songs
from Heaven

and the chimes
sound like
love

Love is the Way

the symphony
of birds
speak to me
singing sweetness
Blessing
us All
in All Ways

Love is the Way

the bees,
woodpeckers,
and the beetles
hum, drum and rattle
creating
drumsongs

speaking
to
me
about
the rhythms
of
life
and
Mother
Earth

Love is the Way

the rose

by Hafiz
Persia (Iran)

How
did the rose
ever open its heart
and give to this world all of its beauty?
It felt the encouragement of light against its being,
otherwise we all remain too frightened.

divinity

by Shannondoah

As the Sun
rises
So does my
heart

Seeing with
rainbow eyes
i walk anew

Knowing with a
rainbow heart
i walk anew

Hearing with a
rainbow heart
i walk anew

Loving with a
rainbow heart
i walk anew

Loving you
within me
i am reborn

mirror

by Mahadeviyakka (India)

When the body becomes Your mirror,
how can it serve?

When the mind becomes Your mind,
what is left to remember?

Once my life is Your gesture,
how can I pray?

When all my awareness is Yours,
what can there be to know?

I became You, Lord, and forgot You.

reminder

by Shannondoah

I carry
you
within
my
heart
like
a
love
song

reminding
me
to
remember

singing
me
Home

to
you

truth

by Lalla
(India)

I went everywhere with longing
in my eyes, until here
in my own house

I felt truth
filling my sight.

doves

by Shannondoah

my heart opens
releasing doves
of
insight

freedom is always
within

there is a
rainbow
shining
bright inside
each
particle
of
our
Being

Divinity
is
Love

i love you

sunrise

by William Blake
(England)

He who binds to himself a joy
does the winged life destroy.
But he who kisses the joy as it flies
lives in eternity’s sun rise.

quiet

by Shannondoah

in the
sweet
quiet
moments

my heart
sings
our
love
song

my heart
is singing
you
home

and

sings
me
home
to

you

reedsong

by Rumi
Persia (Afghanistan)

All day and night, music,
a quiet, bright
reedsong. If it

fades, we fade.

love.

by Shannondoah

her
love
for him
feels
like

rainbows
in
the
rain

sunshine
in
the
clouds

light
in
the
darkness

starshine
moonlight
radiates
and
brightens

the
Way
home

love.

words

by Mukta Bai
(India)

Although he has no form
my eyes saw him
and his glory shines in my mind
which knows his secret
inner form
invented by the soul.
What is beyond the mind,
has no boundary.
In it our senses end.
Mukta says: Words cannot contain him,

yet in him all words are.

equinox

by Shannondoah

she whispered
to
the
moon
confessing
her love
for him
and he
was speaking
to the sun
singing his love
for her
they
prayed
to the stars
and
trusted
in
unity
and
their
Hearts
Truths

center

by Tree-Leaf Woman (India)

Who speaks the sound of an echo?
Who paints the images in a mirror?
Where are the spectacles in a dream?
Nowhere at all - that’s the nature of mind!

everlasting love

by Shannondoah

dear one

dearest beloved

when you gaze upon
that
bright star

i’m looking too...
night time
swoon

meet me
at
the moon

and

i’ll meet you
at the
sun

in waking hours

and dreaming sleep

and all

that’s in between

our

love

is

everlasting

infinite

and

divine

our hands

by St.Francis of Assisi
(Italy)

Our hands imbibe like roots,
so I place them on what is beautiful in this world.

And I fold them in prayer, and they
draw from the heavens

light.
